Google is constantly on the lookout to improve its interface and social networking organization. The search engine’s latest update to Google My Business is its new Google+ Branding Pages. If you haven’t done so already, IPiece Websites recommends updating your Google My Business account to include Google+ Branding Pages.
Google recently divided Google My Business into two categories “Locations” and “Brands,” which appear as tabs in the upper left of Google My Business’ interface.
Therefore, in addition “My Business Locations,” a “Google+ Brand Page” may now be created. This is particularly useful for businesses with one brand and many locations.
To create a “Brand Page”
- Login to your “Google My Business” account
- Select the “Brands” tab
- Click the blue “Add a brand page” button in the lower right.
- Complete the form
- Enter your phone number for verification.
After verification, your business appears in the list of “Google+ Brand Pages”. To make your Google+ Brand Page look more professional, you may click on the name of your Google+ Brand Page, then “Edit”.
Be sure to update your blog to auto feed posts to your new Google+ Brand Page.
